The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for post of central Texas until 10pm this evening.

Strong Thunderstorms could impact Bell County and central Texas in time for the afternoon commute. Scattered thunderstorms will begin to develop west of US-281 this afternoon and travel east across the I-35 corridor by the late afternoon and evening hours tonight.

Severe weather is possible with these developing Thunderstorms. Golf ball size hail may be a result of the strongest storms along with damaging winds. There is a small threat for tornadoes associated with these storms.

Stay weather aware and keep your radio close by. We will keep an eye on these storms along with our weather partners at KWTX in the Doppler Ten Forecast Center.
