Trump Tower Climber Posted Intentions to YouTube Tuesday
It's Wednesday, August 10th, and I've been watching a man scale Trump Tower in New York for about an hour now.
A few minutes ago, a friend forwarded me a link to a video posted by the climber Tuesday, so I thought I'd share.
Update: 19-year-old Stephen Rogata, reportedly from Virginia, was yanked through a window by police around 6:30 PM. He'd made it to the 21st floor of the 68-floor Trump Tower in New York - Donald's home and the base of his Republican presidential campaign.
Police say there's no indication that Rogata intended to harm anyone, and he was taken to to New York's Bellevue Hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
It's still unclear why Rogata performed this stunt. In the video he posted to YouTube Tuesday, Rogata encourages people to vote for Mr. Trump. He identifies himself as an "independent researcher" and seeks an audience with the GOP candidate to discuss "an important matter". He never specifies what the matter is, but says, "I guarantee it is in your best interest to honor this request."
