Devin Dasean Simmons and Gini Lee Taylor of Harker Heights were indicted Wednesday in connection to an October robbery and shooting.

Simmons and Taylor, both 25, allegedly robbed a man of his wallet, keys and cellphone at gunpoint in their Heights home on October 16, then shot the man in the hip as he attempted to escape through a window.

Simmons has a prior record including a 2009 conviction of burglary of a habitation and a 2011 conviction of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Given his record, Simmons could face a minimum of 25 years in prison if he’s convicted in this case.

The pair were being held on $100,000 bail at the Bell County Jail Wednesday.
