Two Students In Texas Arrested After Planning To Attack Middle School

Details have emerged over the recent arrest of two students in Texas, who made plans to harm both students and staff at Truett Wilson Middle School in Haslet, Texas. Here's what is known currently.

Early Details Of The Case

Per NBC 5, the case began when a parent brought attention to school officials at Truett Wilson Middle School about the paper in question. While the learning institution was looking into the concern, they found the paper with the plans in question. The school found the list online, which included 25 students and several staff, considered part of a "watch list."

Northwest ISD released a statement about the document in question: "Today we partnered with the Fort Worth Police Department to take immediate action in response to a troubling and violent document maintained by several students, All students involved in the creation and modification of this document will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law."

Students Arrested After Discovery Of Document

According to NBC 5, it was reported that several students assisted in making the document. At the time of writing, only two students have been placed under arrest. It is unknown at the time of writing if the students, per NBC 5, attend Truett Wilson Middle School. They have also not revealed the names of the students in question.

Northwest ISD is also contacting the families of the students discovered on the list, and will be providing additional security measure for the rest of the school week.
