They say everyone should experience college. Wrong! You should experience things in a college town.

Students at Sul Ross University in Alpine, Texas, have a unique tradition. They go for walk, and take a seat at a desk.

It started back in 1981 a few students wanted to find a quite place to study, so they grabbed a desk and went up Hancock Hill. The idea was a winner, and now every student makes the trek.

People then sign the desk with some words of wisdom (smart alec term). It's not the original desk, because once the notes fill up the desk, the students will haul up a new desk and bring the old one back down the hill.
