At a neighborhood watch event at St. Joseph Catholic Church last week interim police Chief Margaret Young, presented statistics showing numbers similar to 2015 for violent and nonviolent crimes like car thefts and home burglaries in Killeen.

As you'll see in the video, a lot of concern from citizens in Killeen was that there were not enough of a police presence on the streets, and of course... money!

Shirley Fleming, Killeen's District 1 Councilwoman held the community event at the church where she found out that she lives in the district where 7 of Killeen's 16 murders occurred. She has another community event at her home scheduled for January 30th.

Hopefully crime takes a break in Killeen in 2017.
