Wall Collapse Shuts Down Temple Street

A portion of Downtown Temple was closed Monday morning after the collapse of a wall.

The crumbling of the rear wall of a building at 207 South Main prompted authorities to shut down the 200 block of South Main Street. The street remained closed for several hours as Temple Fire & Rescue and City of Temple construction crews cleared the area.

Authorities have not commented on the cause of the collapse.
