Watch the George Strait Tribute at Harker Heights Food, Wine and Brew Fest [Video]

If you can't be at a George Strait show, be at a George Strait tribute show instead!

Derek Spence and I stood back stage Saturday night at the Harker Heights Food, Wine, and Brew Festival talking George Strait and country music. I was waiting for the moment he would switch out of his ball cap and become "George Strait" for the evening's performance.

We got to talking and he offered me a beer and the next thing I knew it was time to bring on the band and I lost track of him. Once the fiddle was struck and the band began I saw King George come out from behind the stage and the night was underway.

Derek is a great guy from Fredericksburg, Texas. His tribute to the King of Texas has been going strong since 2014. If you missed the Food, Wine and Brew Festival the video above is the first song of the night. Keep an eye out and catch this show next time it's in town!
