A detention hearing for a former West volunteer paramedic arrested last week has been postponed.

Bryce Ashley Reed had been scheduled to for a formal arraignment and detention hearing in a U.S. Magistrate Court after being indicted Tuesday for possession of an unregistered firearm. The 2 p.m. hearing was postponed indefinitely however, but Reed’s attorney, Jonathan Sibley, says his client will waive arraignment and enter a not guilty plea with the court.

Reed will remain in custody until another hearing can be scheduled. He was arrested after officials say they found pipe bomb ingredients belonging to him.
