Widespread Illness Closes Fairfield ISD
Another Central Texas school district is being hit hard by the cold and flu season this year.
Fairfield ISD posted the message above on social media yesterday as colds and flu-like symptoms are spreading rapidly around their classrooms. They have decided to cancel classes until Monday while the cleaning crews come in to disinfect.
The majority of students are experiencing the flu, strep throat and a stomach virus is also going around. Crews will be able to better steralize the facility with the students being away January 31st and February 1st. Classes are expected to resume on February 4th.
