Willie Nelson will be taking a turn in front of the camera, along with his sons, Lukas and Micah, and the legendary Neil Young. All four artists star in the upcoming film Paradox, a Western saga with a future-past twist.

Paradox is directed by Young's girlfriend, actress Daryl Hannah. It will be her first full-length feature film in that role.

"Time is fluid in this far-fetched, whimsical Western tale of music and love," a press release explains (quote via Rolling Stone). "Somewhere in the future past, the Man in the Black Hat hides out between heists at an old stagecoach stop with Jail Time, the Particle Kid and an odd band of outlaws. Mining the detritus of past civilizations, they wait … for the Silver Eagle, for the womenfolk and for the full moon's magic to give rise to the music and make the spirits fly."

It's unclear which parts Young and the Nelsons play in Paradox; Lukas Nelson's backing back, Promise of the Real, will appear in the movie as well. The film will premiere at SXSW 2018 in March.

Nelson's sons first went on tour with Young in 2015; they have continued to make music with him in the years since.
