The 2017 World's Largest Rattlesnake Round Up is returning to Sweetwater, Texas in March!

It all is said to have began in 1958 when area farmers came to the Jaycee's with tales of rattlesnake issues all over the area, and an idea that capturing them could be turned into an event. That's how the Rattlesnake round up came to be an annual weekend every March.

The fun begins on March 9th with the Rattlesnake Parade in Sweetwater beginning at 4:30pm followed by the Rattlesnake Carnival! The Round Up takes place at the Nolan County Coliseum at 220 Coliseum Drive in Sweetwater, Texas.

Highlights include the Miss Snake Charmer Pageant, The Sweetwater Rifle and Pistol Club gun, knife, and coin show, along with the Jaycee Barn Dance occurring nightly.

All day wrist bands for this event cost $25 dollars and include unlimited carnival rides! Tickets can be purchased at the gate.
