Zac Brown Band Hoping to Expand Audience With More Overseas Shows in 2013
With nine No. 1 singles and more than eight million singles and albums sold, the Zac Brown Band have conquered the country music market at a rapid pace since first debuting in 2008. How do the 'Goodbye in Her Eyes' hitmakers hope to elevate their red-hot careers leading into 2013? Global domination.
"I know we're going to be going to Australia to do some touring there," shares band lead singer Zac Brown. "We're gonna go back to the U.K." (quote via ABC News Radio).
An unlikely 2011 bill pairing with rock group Kings of Leon in London lead to Brown's consideration of expanding their fanbase on an international level.
"It was amazing," Brown explains of the overseas music lovers. "I mean, the experience and seeing how avid the fans are there. They're like music-crazed animals."
"We've crossed a lot of the things off our bucket list, and it's really time for us as a band to dream up some new things," adds the singer.
The Zac Brown Band continues to promote their third studio album, 'Uncaged,' which features the No. 1 single 'Goodbye in Her Eyes,' as well as the Top 15 single 'The Wind.' No 2013 overseas dates have been officially announced, but the band will perform select dates on Kenny Chesney's upcoming 2013 No Shoes Nation Tour.
