Holiday Ice Sculptures are back as the Gaylord Texas Ice Exhibit has opened for the 2016 season at the Gaylord Texas Resort and Convention Center.

Some 40 master ice carvers travel in from all over the world to create this one-of-a-kind Christmas landscape open through January 1st, 2017. It's a perfect holiday option when friends and family come into town, and it's even open on Thanksgiving and News Years Day if your looking for something to do.

There's even an ice slide!

The theme this year is "Santa Clause Is Coming To Town". Yup, based on the 1970 stop-motion holiday classic cartoon. The exhibit sets up inside a tent that measures 1400 square feet, with coolers to control the climate and to keep the ice at about 9 degrees. It's really amazing to watch them build the exhibit before it opens to the public. Check them out!

If you plan on checking out the display, don't forget to leave time for cookies and milk with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and the Elf on the Shelf Scavenger hunt. Both are sure to get you into the swing of things for the holidays! For tickets and more information dial 1-817-778-1000.
