New year, new movies! Check out the most exciting new movies coming to theaters this year!

2013 was a great year for movies. We finally got to see more of Katniss Everdeen kicking butt, and Leonardo DiCaprio was the perfect Jay Gatsby in my book. I was also a big fan of all the superhero flicks, like Man of Steel, Iron Man 3, and Thor 2. With 2013 in the books, I'm definitely looking forward to this year's movie schedule! More superheros, more Katniss + Peeta, and alot of original films too! Check out 15 of the films we are looking forward to below!

MUPPETS MOST WANTED- MARCH 21ST 2014

I am so glad that the Muppets are back in the spotlight! This follow up to the 2011 reboot is boasting some big names, like Tina Fey, Tom Hiddleston, Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell, and more! Perfect excuse for a family movie day during spring break!

NOAH - MARCH 28TH 2014

Russell Crowe stars in the Bible epic as the title character, with other stars like Anthony Hopkins, Emma Watson, and Jennifer Connelly in the cast. The budge for this one isn't small either, with $130 million being spent on the flick directed by Darren Aronofsky.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER - APRIL 4TH 2014

Based on Captain America's most popular comic book, Winter Soldier is a sort of spy thriller, also starring Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow, Cobie Smulders (HIMYM), and Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury. Bonus:They'll also be introducing new superhero, the Falcon!

THE AMAZING SPIDER MAN 2 - MAY 2ND 2014

We'll see more familiar characters in this sequel to the 2012 reboot, starring Andrew Garfield as the web slinging superhero. Oh yeah, and Jamie Foxx and Paul Giamatti star as bad guys "Electro" and "Rhino"!

 GODZILLA - MAY 16TH 2014

Okay, okay, so this is the 32423256th reboot of Godzilla, but technology has finally caught up with the monster, making him scarier (and less CGI looking) than ever! Elizabeth Olsen and Bryan Cranston star in this monster flick, hitting theaters in May.

MALEFICENT - MAY 20TH 2014

I love a good retelling of a classic! And if anyone could pull off the evil sorceress from Sleeping Beauty, it's Angelina Jolie. Elle Fanning will star as princess Aurora in this dark spin on the 1959 Disney Classic.

DAWN OF PLANET OF THE APES - JULY 18TH 2014

I was a big fan of the first installment of this prequel series, and the second one looks just as good! Kerri Russell and Gary Oldman star in the flick, set to debut mid summer!

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES - AUGUST 8TH 2014

I am SO pumped about this! Michael Bay sure likes to reboot 80's cartoons! He'll produce the TMNT flick, starring Megan Fox as April. Cowabunga!
