$500 Reward Offered After Vandals Damage McGregor Cemetary
KWTX reports Cemetery workers in McGregor discovered busted headstones and vandalism at the end of March, and are now reaching out to the public for any information that might help solve this crime.
City workers report 17 headstones had been smashed in a wide-spread area of the cemetery on March 27th. McGregor is offering a $500 reward for information that leads to the arrest of those responsible.
McGregor's Director of Code Enforcement Bryan Edds told KWTX, "We treat the cemetery like everybody out here is one of our own. So the disrespect that was done out here is really kind of crushing to all of us."
McGregor Cemetery was able to get some assistance from Phipps Memorial in Waco in raising some of the headstones back up again.
