More than six pounds of the synthetic marijuana compound known as "spice" were seized by Killeen police.

A married couple who manage the Palace Inn was arrested. Richard Lefebvre and Yong Chong Lefebvre were each charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute synthetic cannabinoid.

The Palace Inn was investigated by Killeen police and the Drug Enforcement Agency following a tip.

3,086 grams of the substance, a package of which field-tested positive as synthetic marijuana, were seized after a search on July 2.
The arrests are part of a nationwide DEA operation known as "Operation Synergy," which targets dealers of synthetic marijuana.
