Police are searching for a man who robbed a Harker Heights business Thursday morning.

Officers responded to the Family Dollar at 602 E Veterans Memorial Blvd shortly after 9 a.m. , where a clerk reported having been robbed at gunpoint.  According to the clerk, the suspect entered the store, displayed the weapon, and demanded all the cash from the register.  He then fled the scene. It is unclear whether he fled on foot or in a vehicle. The clerk was not injured.

The suspect was described as a black, heavy-built male, approximately 5’9” tall, wearing a gray shirt, blue sweat pants, and black tennis shoes. The man reportedly wore a bandana to cover his face and walked with a slight limp.
