Fire officials are working to determine what caused a fire that destroyed a vacant home in Moffat Thursday night.

Firefighters were sent to the house on Lakeaire Blvd. Around 10 PM and called for assistance from Morgan's Point. Despite their combined efforts, the house could not be saved.

The house, which neighbors said had been vacant for a decade, was reportedly being used for storage, which made it difficult for firefighters to control the flames.

No injuries were reported.
