Abilene Man Attempts Escape from Moving Police Car

A 31-year-old man is caught on video attempting to escape from a moving police car.

There's crazy, then there's this. Watch as a passerby films the ending of a daring escape by one Martin Estrada, 31, of Abilene, Texas.

It seems he got loose from his hand cuffs, broke a window, then climb out to the roof of the moving police car. Said car kept moving until backup arrived. It then pulled over to the side of the road.

This is when Estrada jumped off, technically while it was still moving, and tried to make a run for it. As the car which was filming the escape attempt shows, he didn't make it. Unless of course being face first on the side of the road was his goal all along, then the attempt was a huge success.

According to KTAB/KRBC Estrada did make it to Taylor County Jail. His bonds total $1 million dollars for various warrants including several evading arrest incidents, robbery, and drug charges.
