Earlier this year Hill County deputies seized over 350 neglected and mistreated animals from an 800-acre stretch of land south of Aquilla. KWTX reports those animals are now available for adoption.

20 animals were found dead on the property and others had to be put down. About 100 of them have been sold but there are still over 200 left who need new homes.

The Humane Society of North Texas now has around 20 bulls, 13 steers, 63 heifers, 87 cows and 29 calves available for adoption. The original owner of the cattle cannot be located according to authorities. The humane society said that the cattle appear to be mostly Longhorn or Longhorn crosses. You can visit the cattle at the Humane Society's ranch located in Joshua, Texas.
