Amazon Building It’s Biggest Wind Farm in Texas

Longhorns will be replaced with Long Blades in 2017.

Amazon announced that it's building a wind farm in Texas. It'll be the biggest wind farm yet from Amazon. 100 turbines generating 253 Megawatt's. It's being developed in partnership with Lincoln Clean Energy, and should be running by late 2017.

Amazon has a long-term commitment to power 100% of its services through renewable energy, and according to the company, 40% of AWS’ power will come from renewable sources by the end of 2016. Amazon also has wind farms in Indiana, North Carolina, and Ohio, and a solar farm in Virginia.

Other Tech Giants have agreed to go the Renewable way. Apple claimed, that in 2015, 93% of it's energy was renewable. And Google is also going for 100% renewable energy.
