Baby Boom Expected at Fort Hood this Summer
Word is getting around about the uptick in expecting mothers over at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center. The Fort Hood community typically sees 180-200 births each month at Darnall, but that number is trending up as we head into the summer of 2017.
KCENTV's Jillian Angeline reports the officer in charge of the army hospital says they expect the number of births to go up to 230 to 280 per month this summer.
Major Anne Daniele told KCENTV, "It's definitely higher than we've seen before."
Fort Hood is taking a look at the situation to make sure the maternity process is the best it can be to deal with the increase in "new arrivals".
