Belton is calling all amateur or champion competitive eaters for an event the whole city will be out there to see. There will be a hotdog eating contest presented by Hi-Five Hotdogs, and we wanna see what you got.

The  event will take plan on July fourth at Yettie Polk Park (101 S. Davis St.). There will be an entry fee of $20, which includes a T-shirt with a goodie bag.

The contest is open to only the first 30 people who register, so if this is your cuppa tea then you'd better make sure you hurry up and get there.

If you’re going to be in the competition, you must be checked in by 11 AM on the Fourth. Competitors will be broken up into kid and adult groups.

I cannot wait to see this event! Any time you combine good food and a competition, it's guaranteed to be a good time.
