Belton will Dedicate New Patriot Plaza Friday

The public is invited to attend a dedication for Belton’s new Patriot Plaza Friday.

The plaza is located at the entrance of Central Avenue along the I-35 frontage road. The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. and feature a choir from Southwest Elementary School, color guards from Fort Hood and the Belton Police Department and a special tribute to Army Brigadier General Terence Hildner. Hildner died in Afghanistan shortly after attending a flag-raising ceremony at Belton’s 2011 Veteran’s Day ceremony.
