Body Found In Killeen Identified

A body found Sunday in Killeen has been identified as a Belton man who had been missing for nine days.

The remains of 31-year-old Christopher Wayne Strickland was discovered in a wooded area in 200 block of Root Avenue. Strickland had last been seen on May 24, and his family reported him missing May 30. Authorities have not yet been able to determine the cause of Strickland’s death because of the degree of decomposition of Mr. Strickland’s body. His remains are undergoing autopsy at the Southwest institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.
