Body Found in Local River

The body of Judith K. Muntner, 58, was recovered on Saturday from the Lampasas River.

Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle abandoned at the river, south of Killeen, around 3:00 Saturday afternoon.

Fishermen reported finding a truck near the river, clothing on the bank, and a leashed dog.

The body was recovered around 7:00 p.m. after a search.

An autopsy has been ordered and the incident is being investigated by the Bell County Sheriff's Office and Texas Game Wardens. It appears that the woman drowned.
