As a musician and artist, he is a beast. Last night (September 23), the 2021 Americana Honors & Awards were held at The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN, and the Navy sailor, turned railroad worker, turned Grammy winning artist pick up Album of the Year for Cuttin’ Grass – Vol. 1 (The Butcher Shoppe Sessions. Well deserved.

Other big winners last night include the late great John Prine, who picked up Song of the Year for "I Remember Everything," Brandi Carlile who took home the trophy for Artist of the Year, and our good pal Charley Crockett who was named Emerging Artist of the Year.
