Traffic got pretty bad this evening for many traveling southbound on I-35 south of Troy, Texas. Here's what happened.

A bus with 45 people on board caught fire this evening on I-35 between Temple and Troy. The blaze was called in around 6:45p this evening, and happened near mile marker 305 (near Berger road).

The authorities say the fire actually started back in Troy at exit 308.  All the passengers got off the bus safely. One person was being evaluated after showing symptoms of heavy stress as a result of the fire. The bus belongs to Zavala Plus and was in route to Mexico. While everyone made it off the bus ok, the vehicle was badly damaged by the fire and needed to be towed.

Details regarding the fire are still being released.
