Cameron Park Zoo in Waco Has Some New Residents
The Cameron Park Zoo in Waco has added three new residents.
According to our partners at News 10, the zoo on Tuesday introduced a capybara, an albino raccoon, and an American black bear.
The capybara named Morrison is a 100 pound rodent that arrived from the Reid Park Zoo in Tucson, Arizona. He will be housed in the El Rey de la Montana South American habitat.
The raccoon is a three and a half month old raccoon and is named Ghost. He came from a rehabber in Houston and will be available to see in the raccoon exhibit.
The young American black bear is named Mowgli and is around 7 months old. He came to the Zoo from Minnesota and he was rescued along with his sister when their died during hibernation. The were both taken to a veterinary clinic. His sister died, but Mowgli survived.
