Losing a child is an unimaginable loss. Whether a child is hours old or a grown man or woman, no parent should have to bury a son or daughter -- and yet, several country stars have had to endure this grief-filled event.

On June 13, 2020, Katherine Williams-Dunning, the 27-year-old daughter of Hank Williams Jr., died in a one-car crash in Henry County, Tenn. -- but he's (sadly) not the first, or last, country star to lose a child, even in the last few years. In July of 2016, for example, the devastating loss of Craig Morgan's 19-year-old son Jerry rocked the country music community.

Randy Rogers and his wife had to say goodbye to their daughter Rumer far too early, and George Strait lost his daughter Jenifer in a tragic car accident when she was just 13 years old. Other country singers whose lives have been forever marked by the loss of a child include Eddie Montgomery, Loretta Lynn -- who has, sadly, lost two children -- Willie Nelson, Eddie Rabbitt, Aaron Watson and Roy Rogers.
