Central Texas Heroes: SPC. Larry Harris

My husband, SPC. Larry Harris is not only my hero, but my son's also.

He decided to join the Army Reserve to make something of himself at the age of 17. The Army is why he is alive today. We met in 2009 and found out we were expecting a baby boy at the beginning of 2010. When time came to start our family my husband decided he would go active duty to make sure my son and I would be taken care of with insurance and he would be able to provide for his family. My husband left to Red Stone Alabama 2 weeks after our son was born and then left when he was only 8 months old to Korea for a year. We are now together as a family but soon my husband will be deploying. He is our hero because he puts us and his country first rather than himself.
