Chris Brown Reveals He ‘Might Want To Do A Country Album’

Uhhh....what? Can that headline be true?

It appears to be.

R&B singer Chris Brown has been busy doing interviews to promote his new record and has revealed that he hopes to expand his musical chops in the future....with a country album?

Brown told Charlotte's Power 98: “Music is for everyone. When you put genres on music, you segregate it. I want to always be able to do any kind of music I want. When I get older I might want to do a country album. Next year, I might want to do all hip-hop album or alternative album. Just making sure that anything that goes down, showing my audience or showing people that have a creative mind that you can do anything you want, it’s just about believing and loving what you’re doing in a positive way.”

Of course, Chris Brown is also known for more than his music. I personally only know his name because of his now infamous domestic violence case from 2009 that left his then girlfriend Rihanna bloody, bitten and bruised.

I guess I am being the opposite of positive, but I think the Country music community is doing just fine without Chris Brown in it. Besides, something tells me this won't ever happen. I don't see the country music fans welcoming Chris with open arms.
