Chris Young and Cassadee Pope were supposed to play two of the first dates on Young's 2016 I'm Comin' Over World Tour on Friday and Saturday (Jan. 22 and 23, respectively). Instead, they two artists found themselves stranded on their buses in the middle of Winter Storm Jonas.

The trouble first began on Friday night when, due to the state of emergency that had been declared in Pennsylvania and the snow emergency in Philadelphia, Pa., itself, Young and Pope's concert at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia was postponed. From there, their tour caravan headed from Philly to Pittsburgh, hoping to make it to their Saturday night show at the city's Stage AE; however, both artists ended up stuck on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in their travels.

While Young's bus made it to a truck stop, Pope and her crew were literally stuck on the highway. Around 9PM ET on Saturday night, Pope shared on Twitter that they were beginning to see cars towed out of the snow and driving off the opposite way; "luckily, we're in a tour bus," the singer added.

According to Pope's tweets, at around 2:30AM ET on Sunday (Jan. 24), she and her crew had been stuck for about 27 hours, but were being told they'd be able to get out soon. Eight hours later, just after 10:30AM ET, Pope shared that they had made it out.

"Thanks for your hard work through all hours of the night to get everyone to safety, @PANationalGuard," Pope wrote after her bus was freed. "We appreciate you!"

Fortunately, both Pope and Young found ways to stay occupied during the bad weather: Pope had a snowball fight, while Young tried making a snow angel (see below).

"Might as well make the best of it," Pope said.

The 2016 I'm Comin' Over World Tour stop in Pittsburgh has been rescheduled to March 11, while the Philadelphia show has been moved to March 12. Original tickets will be honored, and refunds are available at the point of purchase for those who are unable to make the new date.

Pope and Young were not the only artists whose tour plans got derailed by Winter Storm Jonas: Garth BrooksBrad Paisley and Lee Brice were all forced to postpone weekend shows due to the snow.
