Heavy hearts gathered Saturday at the Copperas Cove Christian House of Prayer for the memorial service for Savannah Lewis.

Savannah inspired people all over the country to be 'Savannah Strong' as the story of her battle with Ewing's Sarcoma spread all the way to Alaska. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2016 but spent the last 2 years sharing kindness with others around her.

Our news partners at KWTX shared a video about Savannah's memorial service. Each person was able to leave with a gift in the form of a snowflake that had been made for Savannah to remind them to stay strong.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family. It's really the sign of a great community to see the support for her that started in Central Texas and spread so far around the world.
