On June 25th, 1993, country singer Lyle Lovett shocked music and movie fans alike when he married American actress Julia Roberts. The Oscar-winning actress and Lovett had met weeks before while filming a movie together and got married quietly after a small ceremony in Indiana.

People could hardly believe it. Lovett was the odd-looking singer with the unique singing voice and crazy hair, and Julia Roberts was one of the biggest movie stars in the world at the time.

Their marriage lasted just under two years, but it was memorable in both country music and Hollywood history. Even now, fans still bring it up as one of the most unconventional celebrity couples of our time.

Thirteen years later, on June 25th, 2006, it was another country star marrying an actress. Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman got married in a chapel in Sydney, Australia. Fortunately for Keith and Nicole, they have stayed together, unlike Lyle and Julia.

Keith is still busy traveling and playing music while Nicole continues her life as an actress in film and Television. Nineteen years is a longtime for a celebrity marriage, and it doesn't look like Keith or Nicole have any plans on calling it quits anytime soon.

It is rare to see one date produce two big love stories, but June 25th did just that. Regardless of whether or not the relationships lasted, both weddings are kept on record in country music history.
