My Favorite Anti-Valentine’s Day Gift is Back at The San Antonio, Texas Zoo
While most people are looking for the perfect gift that represents their everlasting love for their significant other this Valentine's Day, what about a gift that represents those who have been burned by their significant other?
The San Antonio Zoo may that perfect gift.
How to Really BUG Your Ex This Valentine's Day
The San Antonio Zoo's “Cry Me A Cockroach” fundraiser is back for its third year, and this may be the best way to celebrate a love scorned.
Most people fall in love and have the expectation that it'll last forever, and if you're one of the lucky ones, it just might. But for some, the expectation of "forever" can fall a little short and leave you feeling pretty burned by the experience altogether.
The “Cry Me A Cockroach” fundraiser is the perfect way to celebrate Valentine's Day for the broken-hearted.
It's simple: According to KXAN, for a simple donation of anywhere between $5 to $25, you can send that "un"-special someone a video of a cockroach, rat, or veggie named after them being fed to an animal.
How satisfying would that be to name a cockroach or rat after the person that did you wrong and watch it being eaten by a zoo animal?
The Pettiness Doesn't Stop There
It gets even better. For $150 a zoo employee will read a short paragraph that you get to write as an intro to the video before they feed the animal the cockroach, rat or veggie.
You'll Still Be Spreading Love
The best part: the money raised will go towards a fundraiser to “support the zoo’s vision in securing a future for wildlife.”
Sweet revenge and supporting a great cause? It's a win-win!
There are a few other rules you'll need to follow, but all of that is on the San Antonio Zoo's website.
Happy Valentine's, or should I say, Anti-Valentine's Day!
