Preserving a Classic Horrorscape

Known outside Hollywood as Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco, the 380-plus acre setting in Hardwick, New Jersey, stands as the state's oldest continuously operating Scout facility, since opening its doors in 1927. The site functions as an active private camp owned by Scouting America's Northern New Jersey Council, meaning public entry is strictly forbidden outside scheduled tour windows.

Crystal Lake Adventures

Since 2011, a team of camp alumni operating under Crystal Lake Adventures has managed these specialized events. Over the years, the tours have attracted visitors from across the globe and welcomed original cast and crew members, including Adrienne King, Tom Savini, Jeannine Taylor, and composer Harry Manfredini. Proceeds directly support ongoing structural upkeep at the historic property alongside regional youth scouting programs.
