The Department of Veterans Affairs has named Central Texas College a Yellow Ribbon School.

This designation means the college will participate in the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program, a program which provides funding for enrollment in college courses.

The school believes this designation will allow it to better serve student veterans.

The program was created to allow veteran students to avoid paying tuition out-of-pocket by allowing approved institutions to partially or fully cover the costs.
