We all watched in shock and horror on Sunday as Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott suffered a gruesome ankle injury in a game against the New York Giants, which the Cowboys would go on and win.

Whether or not you're a fan of the Cowboys, you still hate to see such a terrible thing happen to someone, especially witnessing him break into tears as he was carted off the field. We are sending our thoughts and prayers to Dak for a speedy recovery.

According to CNN, Prescott suffered a compound fracture and dislocation of his right ankle, and was rushed into surgery Sunday night where doctors successfully completed surgery on his injury and are expecting him to return home today (Monday Oct. 12th).

Dak's brother Tad shared an update and photo of Dak, who appeared to be in good spirits despite the injury, before he went into surgery.

While I'm not a fan of the Cowboys, I was rooting for Dak to get his big and well deserved payday from the team, and he seemed to be on pace to make it happen. Hopefully he'll come back better than ever.
