July, 7th 2016 was the deadliest day for Law Enforcement in America since the September 11th attacks. Today marks the 2-year-anniversary of the day Dallas police were ambushed by a sniper as they watched over a downtown protest.

Officers Thompson, Sr. Cpl. Lorne Ahrens, Officer Michael Krol, Sgt. Michael J. Smith and Officer Patrick Zamarippa were killed in the line of duty. A memorial service was held today outside of Police headquarters in Dallas. For the second year in a row, family and friends released blue and white balloons in remembrance of the officers.
