If you missed a monumental fight that took place recently at the AT&T Center, you missed a Killeen, Texas champion at his finest.

For all of 's career, he has worked very hard to get to this exact place and be able to box in stadiums like the AT&T Center. This locally born pro athlete is rumbling with titans, and you could even say he is one now.

RUMBLE, YOUNG MAN, RUMBLE!

Darius' determination and drive to be the best boxer not only from Central Texas, but the best bet boxer overall, is an absolute inspiration.

On Saturday, April 16, the Killeen native went blow for blow and body to body with Nosa Divine Nehikhare, and the people of Killeen couldn’t be more proud. Darius's story is very inspiring, especially for the youth that feel that they are lost. He explained that he felt like he was the lost kid growing up, which just made him more determined to find his place in this world.

HANDS OF A HEALER

Before he was a pro boxer, Darius was a nurse. So, not only was he chasing his dreams as an athlete, he was also using his time and energy to help heal and comfort people.

Darius Fulghum definitely has a story with humble beginnings, and when I asked the champ if he had anything he could say to his beloved city and any up-and-coming fighters, he humbly let me know.

"Just to make sure to believe in yourself," he said. "Put the work in and you’ll be destined for greatness. Don’t, and you’ll be destined to fail."

I think I speak for everybody in the city of Killeen when I say thank you so much for continuing to make us proud and letting everyone know around the world that our town only births champions!
