
Century Old Texas Staple Now Moving To California Next Month
Fort Worth, Texas just hit a major milestone recently as it nudged Austin from the position of the 4th largest city in the Lone Star State. Both cities are likely to reach one million in population within days of each other, but for now, Cow Town, USA is a few thousand larger than the Texas state capital city.

One of the reasons Fort Worth is seeing so much growth is not just because of its position as the other anchor city in D/FW, but according to realtor friends who live there, it is because land there remains so incredibly affordable. Austin has grown to become one of the most expensive places to live in the state, and even home prices in Killeen or Temple can often exceed the price per square footage for a Fort Worth home.

After a little over 100 years of being a truly proud Texas brand, Dickies is relocating their headquarters to a SoCal town that isn't even 75 years old. Don't get me wrong, Costa Mesa is nice, and by far my favorite place to stop for a meal en route from Los Angeles to Disneyland, but how can Dickies leave Texas?

According to this LA Times article, about 120 employees will be directly impacted, and the move should be completed by next month. Will this decision by Dickies impact your desire to wear Dickies attire?
