The President heads out for what will be his first campaign rally of 2019 right here in Texas.

President Trump will be in El Paso on Monday to make a case for the wall he wants to see built between the United States and Mexico. This rally will take place just days before the February 15th deadline that could mark another partial Government shutdown. The stalemate over the wall led to the record long 35-day shutdown that ended on January 25th.

During the State of the Union address, the President said, "The border city of El Paso, Texas, used to have extremely high rates of violent crime, one of the highest in the entire country and considered one of our nation's most dangerous cities. Now, immediately upon its building, with a powerful barrier in place, El Paso is one of the safest cities in our country."

Trump will rally supporters on Monday night at the El Paso Coliseum.
