Texas is full of sports for many to play. One of those sports everybody loves is none other than basketball. With the state having both Professional and Collegiate teams, there's a lot of history here.

From national championships to NBA and WNBA titles, the state is no stranger to success. But over the years, there's been losses that have confounded many a Texan. Sometimes, the team winning also could confuse a Texas basketball fan.

For both Baylor and TCU, the schools have played multiple basketball games over the years. The opponents have changed over the years as well, with some schools not having sports as a part of the institution at all anymore. But, there's one opponent both teams faced and it's a head scratcher.

Baylor and TCU played...Dr. Pepper?!?

Dr. Pepper Played Basketball Against Baylor And TCU?

This was first to brought to many people's attention via social media:

There's also evidence that TCU did play Dr. Pepper, as shown on a schedule from the 1932-1933 season. TCU bested Dr. Pepper 50-36. As for Baylor well...it didn't go so well.

As shown in the video above, Baylor lost to the Waco created drink 41-36, which must've done great for sales. But, it's hard to exactly pin down who was on the Dr. Pepper team.

One thing is for sure though, Baylor and TCU's history was forever altered by the statistic. And it makes for a great Texas trivia question.
