Electricity Was Knocked Out Sunday In A Salado Neighborhood After A Skydiver Landed On Power Lines
A few businesses and a home in Salado were without electricity Sunday afternoon after a skydiver landed in some power lines.
The skydiver’s parachute became tangled up in the lines on the frontage road of northbound I-35 near FM 2115, causing them to fall. Firefighters were called to the scene around 4 p.m. and monitored the situation until utility workers could arrive.
The skydiver was a student with SkyDive Temple, and the Salado Fire Department says the company has been a problem in the past. Back in April, a skydiver with the company landed atop a gas station and was injured. The skydiver in Sunday’s incident was not injured.
