Exciting New Construction Theme Park Will Be Fun For Kids and Adults
Hey Texans, you and your little ones can plan a fun hands-on day at this new kid-friendly construction theme park in Katy.
And when I say construction theme park, I'm not talking about I-35!
Time To Dig
According to a press release, Dig World is an all-ages, construction-themed adventure park being built in Katy, Texas. The park will allow both kids and adults to safely operate real, heavy construction equipment year round.
“At Katy Mills, we are committed to growing, evolving, and supporting what the community needs,” said Lisa Connolly, Katy Mills Director of Marketing and Business Development. “Dig World will surely enhance the family-friendly offerings of Katy Mills, providing a fun place for families to spend time together during their visit to the center.”
Something For Everyone
The 3.5 acre site is expected to host over 100,000 people in its first year. At Dig World, guests will have the chance to operate excavators, skid steers, UTVs, and more. It's understandable if you don't want your kids playing with heavy machinery, though. The park will also have a playground, a gem-mining station, a turf field with yard games, and various other attractions.
Now, if your day job is on a construction site, then this may not be your cup of tea. For those of us stuck in an office, this could be the ultimate stress reliever! Dig World will be able to host field trips, community events, birthday parties, corporate outings, and celebrations of all kinds.
Real Certified Equipment
Plus Dig World is actually partnering with Mustang Cat to gain access to top-of-the-line equipment.
“We look forward to partnering with Dig World as they showcase our heavy equipment in a hands-on experience for the entire family,” President & COO of Mustang Cat, Sam Tucker said.
Fun While Learning
In addition, Dig World has established an educational partnership with the Texas A&M University Department of Construction Science that will assist in providing educational materials for the park.
“The Department of Construction Science is excited to partner with Dig World to create an educational partnership, where future generations can experience and learn about the dynamic construction industry,” said Dr. Patrick Suermann, Professor and Department Head.
So not only will you have some major fun with the kids, but you'll both be gaining real experience operating heavy machinery. Talk about killing two birds with one stone.
Still to Come
The park is still underway, but you can reach out to pre-book your birthday parties, field trips, or events at info@digworldtx.com. Dig World currently has plans to expand across Texas and the US, so be on the lookout for a Dig World coming near you!
