Fatalities Reported After Shooting at Santa Fe High School
A gunman was reportedly in custody and a mobile home being searched for explosives after gunfire erupted at a Texas school Friday morning.
The Associated Press reports that as many as 10 people may have been fatally injured at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas.
A reporter streaming live for KHOU-TV said police were moving uninjured students and staff to another location to reunite with their families. A suspect is reportedly in custody, but their identity had not yet been released as of 11:15 AM. KHOU reported that the suspect is 17-years-old. A second person is reportedly in custody as well.
According to KHOU, shots were reported around 7:40 AM. Two students reportedly activated a fire alarm after spotting the suspect carrying a gun. There were also reports of students witnessing the gunman throwing explosive devices. Police are also searching for possible explosives inside a mobile home about two miles from the school.
