Florida Georgia Line Debut New Song at ‘Instant Jam’ — See Pictures From the Show
Tuesday (Sept. 2) was a big day for Florida Georgia Line fans. The duo performed at Nashville's local club Exit/In as part of the new CMT series 'Instant Jam,' debuting their brand-new song 'Sun Daze,' from their upcoming new album 'Anything Goes.'
The song, which Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley wrote along with Cary Barlowe, Jesse Frasure and Sarah Buxton, is about getting high, although they admit they'll have to tweak the song if they want it to be a hit on the airwaves.
"I woke up that morning and literally wrote that in my phone," Kelley tells Rolling Stone Country.
"We'll probably have to come up with a different word for the radio edit," Hubbard adds.
While the men soared to the top of the charts with their debut album 'Here's to the Good Times,' which broke sales records and boasted five No. 1 hits, they insist they aren't feeling any pressure with their sophomore record.
"We've always kind of stuck to the motto of 'Don't put too much pressure on yourself, just have fun,'" Hubbard says. "We don't try to overthink it or stress too much about it. We think this second album's kind of a continuation of [the last one]. We've all stepped up our game on this one."
Other songs FGL performed during their 'Instant Jam' include 'Round Here,' 'This Is How We Roll,' 'Cruise' and their newest single 'Dirt.'
'Instant Jam,' a series that shows artists appearing in towns for a surprise concert, will premiere on Sept. 27. Kenny Chesney was the first artist to participate, performing a show in Athens, Ga., on Aug. 29.
