Football Helmets For Dummies

if you watch football, we've all seen it happen.  Someone gets hit and their helmet or shoe pops off, but one high school running back for in Utah was trying to play with his helmet on BACKWARDS! It seems an opposing player yanked on his facemask and spun his helmet around BACKWARDS.  But even though he couldn't see anything, he keep moving forward.  And another player absolutely LEVELED him.  My question is, how'd he know where he was going anyway?   My only advice would be buy a new chin strap.
